Deathly Hallows crew purchase old wooden furniture

This is Bristol reports on a recent shopowner's experience working with the crew of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

Movie makers have been to a second hand furniture shop in Knowle West to buy old tables and wardrobes for the latest Harry Potter film.

Set designers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows heard about Re:store in Filwood Broadway through the Furniture Reuse Network.

Vicky Beckwith, 39, of King William Road, Bedminster, who runs the store said: “The set designers contacted us and said they needed old wooden furniture that was a bit battered.

“They bought a wardrobe and tables and chairs Thirties.

“It was ideal for us. Furniture from that period is a bit too big and heavy for use in modern homes. Nobody buys it.
