First off, how did you become a Harry Potter fan?

I became a Harry Potter fan back in 2002, when I found PS in the local library. It was about the same time that the first movie came out, so there was a big poster on the wall of the library which prompted me and my mum to look for the book. I instantly fell in love and read all the other books as soon as I could get them. My gran then bought me the box set of the first four books for Christmas, and it’s just snowballed from there.

It has been over three years since Deathly Hallows came out and we found out how the series ended. Do you have the same reaction to the ending now, as you did then?

When I first read the epilogue to Deathly Hallows I hated it. It meant that Jo Rowling wouldn’t be writing any more books about Harry, Ron and Hermione, which made me a bit sad. But now I’ve grown to love the epilogue as much as the rest of the book. I think it’s good that we saw Harry’s kids go off to Hogwarts because we can imagine the adventures they would have, and continue the story.

There are quite a few organizations/clubs at Hogwarts. Which you would rather join and why: Dueling Club, Dumbledore’s Army, or S.P.E.W.?

I would love to join any of these organisations, but if I had to pick, it would have to be Dumbledore’s Army. There’s something exciting about standing up to the ruling power and getting things done by yourself. It’s a whole lot more exciting than liberating house elves or pretending to shoot deadly spells at each other, anyway.

If you could attend Hogwarts, Which class do you think would be your favorite?

Probably Transfiguration. I just think that the whole concept of being able to turn an object into something completely different is so cool. I’d also like to be an Animagus and turn into a cat or maybe a lion. I know this isn’t strictly a class, but I’m going to say it anyway. I would absolutely love Quidditch and flying. I wish that we all had broomsticks. It would make everything so much easier.

Which class would be your best, whether you liked it or not?

I’d probably be quite good at History of Magic, because I’m good at Muggle history. But Professor Binns sounds awfully dull, so perhaps I wouldn’t be so good at it if he was making me go to sleep all the time.

Okay, be honest. We got you this year with our April Fool’s story about JKR writing a Potter prequel featuring Elvendork. However, if she really wrote it, it would be so…

Cool. It’s another J.K. book, which is exciting! I wouldn’t care what it was about if it was written by J.K. Rowling. Even if it was about Justin Beiber, I would read it just because it had her name on it.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Theory: Luna is/was totally in love with Ron. I’ve always thought it, but nothing has ever come out of it. Shout out: To any of my friends reading this, Tara, maybe? Praise: To everyone at Mugglenet – you are the coolest bunch of cool cats ever, and keep doing an awesome job! Except please fix the Crazy Caption thingo. It was my favourite part of the site and it’s been dead for ages. Apologies if it’s already fixed, I’ve kind of given up on it.
