Warner Bros. Purchases Leavesden Studios, “Potter” Museum Expected to Open Easter 2012

Back in January, we told you that Warner Bros. had plans to purchase Leavesden Studios, the home for the filming of all eight Harry Potter films.

Well, today, the sale is final and Warner Bros. will reportedly spend £100m redeveloping the Hertfordshire site into “a state-of-the-art filmmaking hub.

They will build two new soundstages featuring memorabilia, including sets from the Potter films, and offer exclusive behind-the-scenes tours for fans. The grand re-opening is tentatively scheduled for Easter 2012.

Thanks to Gary for the tip!
