Alamo Drafthouse in Austin to host “Potter-thon” of epic proportions

Theaters are looking to send out the final Potter film in a big way, but Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas is doing it more impressively than any theater we’ve heard of.

They’ll be hosting a back-to-back Harry Potter film event starting at 4:30 a.m. ET on July 14.  They will play all eight films in a row – it’s timed so Part 2 will screen at midnight on July 15.

More information for what they’re calling the Potter-A-Thon can be found right here.  The Drafthouse has been named “the best theater in America” by Entertainment Weekly and “the coolest theater in the world” by Wired, so we think this event is a safe bet if you live in the area.
