Fandom videos spotlight: “The Vortex,” and The Black Sisters

Each week, MuggleNet will be highlighting two Harry Potter-themed videos from the World Wide Web, created by and starring some of Harry’s biggest fans.

With nearly 12 million views on YouTube, “Potter Puppet Pals: The Vortex” is one of the most prominent instalments to take place between the walls of Neil Cicierega’s famed puppet booth. The short episode spoofs Harry Potter’s usual selflessness by showing what effects his over-inflated ego has on his closest pals.

Second, we present a brand-new video (uploaded earlier today) from The Black Sisters, two darling British ladies whose 200+ web vlogs throughout the years have garnered a devoted viewership and provided great entertainment. This week, ‘Cissa and Bella’ discuss Pottermore, their experience as Beta testers for the site, and whether or not they were sorted into the correct houses for their personalities. Beware of Pottermore spoilers as you enjoy the video here.

Whether they be classic videos, fan favorites or brand new to the web, the global community of Harry Potter fans has never been shy to express its enthusiasm. If you would like to see your Harry Potter fan video featured on MuggleNet’s “fandom videos spotlight,” please contact us.
