Rupert Grint to lend voice for upcoming Postman Pat movie

Postman Pat, the iconic British “post man” of the 1981 BBC One stop-motion animated series, is getting his own movie. What’s more, Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint will be providing his voice for the film.

Says Grint, “I used to watch Postman Pat when I was a small boy. My brother and sisters all did at some stage.” Also lending their voices for the movie are Potter alums Jim Broadbent (Horace Slughorn) and David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jr.). The movie is about an average British post man who achieves overnight fame due to his taking part in a televised talent contest, and will release in 2013.
