‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2’ blanks at the Oscars

It’s amazing and so incredibly disappointing that the Harry Potter films, which is the No. 1 film franchise in history and is based on the best selling book series of all-time, was never honored with a single Oscar Award.

Tonight at the Academy Awards, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was nominated for three categories and lost each one of them. The Oscar for Art Direction went to HUGO, Makeup was awarded to The Iron Lady, and the Visual Effects Oscar was presented to HUGO.

The Harry Potter series (cast and crew) continue to receive awards from many of the other awards ceremonies, but were completely snubbed by the Academy Awards.
