Video: Potter characters stir on Oscar Day

With only a few hours to go before the 84th Annual Academy Awards, the mystery of whether or not Harry Potter films will receive any Oscar is close to resolution. While nominated for three awards in technical achievement categories (Art Direction, Makeup and Visual Effects), the final film Deathly Hallows, Part 2 failed to secure a nomination in either Best Picture or Best Actor categories for its cast or crew.

While Potter fans have reacted negatively to the news (and warmed the hearts of the crew), the very humorous team over at How it Should Have Ended have created a special video showing how the Potter characters themselves would react to the news, and this year’s Best Picture nominees. View the video on this feed or by clicking here.

Once again, Potter is nominated for the following:
– Art Direction, Stuart Craig (Production Design) Stephenie MacMillan (Set Decoration)
– Make-Up, Nick Dudman, Amanda Knight and Lisa Tomblin
– Visual Effects, Tim Burke (superviser), David Vickery, Greg Butler, and John Richardson

We hope that Potter wins in at least one of the categories! Our entire Oscar predictions can be found here.
