Harry Potter Studio Tour – an Actor’s Perspective

Just one week before all the amazing new Dark Arts features make their debut at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter, Potter actors Will Dunn (James Sirius) & Ellie Darcey-Alden (young Lily Evans) visited the attraction this past weekend – and were gracious enough to share their experience with us!

The pair attended the tour with other Potterkids (as they call themselves!) Ryan Turner (Hugo Weasley), Helena Barlow (Rose Weasley), & Benedict Clarke (young Severus Snape).

Both actors were impressed with the wand room, which houses over 4,000 wands. In fact, every cast & crew member has one! Will had this to say about the room:

“To sum it up, pretty much everyone that played a part in the making of the films, no matter what they did to contribute, got a wandbox, which are all in this section. I think this is a really cool touch, so often crew members get a place on the credits (or not even that) and that’s it, cheers, you’re done, bye! But here, the wandboxes give them the extra recognition that they definitely deserve. And let’s be honest, having a wand named after you is more than cool.”

I am a 40-something Ravenclaw/Slytherin from Massachusetts. I've been lucky in life and can attribute a lot of that to Harry Potter. Without it, I wouldn't have at least 80% of the things I do today, including my career & closest friends. I truly despise Sirius Black.
