“Potterheads” unite: (We’ve been nominated for a People’s Choice Award!)

The 2013 People’s Choice Awards are right around the corner, and as the long-list for nominations has just been announced, we’re excited to report many Potter stars have been nominated for awards including Dame Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson and Emma Watson, for her performance in Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Most surprisingly however, these three ladies were not the only members of the Potter fandom to be nominated – the People’s Choice Awards have nominated the Harry Potter fans themselves for the category of Favorite Movie Fan Following. We “Potterheads” have been paired up against the likes of “Twihards”, “Tributes”, and “Ringers” (Twilight, Hunger Games, and Lord of the Rings fans, respectively.)

As we are clearly the greatest fandom, it is integral that if you are reading this message you immediately vote on the PCA website, for not only the Potter stars, but your fellow “Potterheads” as well.

The People’s Choice Awards will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 9.
