Rupert Grint in “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman” premieres at Sundance Film Festival

It seems the Golden Trio will be reunited at the Sundance Film Festival. Well…almost. As previously reported on MuggleNet, Daniel Radcliffe’s Kill Your Darlings will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January. We now have confirmation that Rupert Grint’s upcoming film The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman will also premiere at the festival under the ‘Premieres and Documentary Premieres’ section.

Thanks to Collider you can read the synopsis of the film below.

Travelling abroad, Charlie Countryman falls for Gabi, a Romanian beauty whose unreachable heart has its origins in Nigel, her violent, charismatic ex. As the darkness of Gabi’s past increasingly envelops him, Charlie resolves to win her heart, or die trying.

The film was directed by Fredrik Bond and also stars Shia LaBeouf and Evan Rachel Wood. As a reminder, the festival runs from January 17 to the 27 in Park City, Utah. There has been no word on whether Rupert will be attending yet, but we’ll be sure to let you when it comes up. It’s certainly great to see Potter stars in such a diverse set of roles recently.

With two films starring Potter actors now being considered, do you plan on attending the event? Let us know!
