Alan Rickman to appear in “A Little Chaos”, Lionsgate UK to finance film

Back in January, we reported that Alan Rickman (better known as Severus Snape) was set to direct A Little Chaos, an indie film starring Kate Winslet and Matthias Schoenaerts. Today, it was announced that Rickman himself will also star in the project! What has yet to be revealed is what role he will play in the movie, which tells the story of two rival gardeners comissioned by Louis XIV to create a fountain at Versailles.

Additionally, it has been announced that Lionsgate UK has signed on to be the main finacier of the film. Lionsgate UK’s commitment to the project is part of their goal to invest more in local film. You can read the full breakdown of the business negotiations here.
