Rupert Grint film “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman” acquired for US release

The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman has been sold to Millenium Entertainment for US rights and a theatrical release! The film follows the story of a man (Shia LeBeouf) who falls in love with the girlfriend of a crime boss. Rupert Grint plays Carl, a traveler that Shia LeBeouf’s character encounters during the course of the movie. The film was reportedly acquired for a sum in the low seven figures.

Millenium CEO Bill Lee says of the film:

In his theatrical debut, [director] Fredrik Bond has created a stylish, action-packed ride that hooks you from the first moments and never lets go. This is a perfect addition to our slate and we expect the film to draw audiences in all windows of release.
