Daniel Radcliffe returns to “The Simpsons” in guest role

If you’re a fan of Fox’s animated television series The Simpsons, you may recognize the voice of its latest guest star for the new season. In his second stint as a guest for the show, Daniel Radcliffe will be voicing a character named Diggs. While not much is known about the story for this episode, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Al Jean gives fans a tiny look into the character Daniel will play.

“Diggs is a combination of Holden Caulfield, Finny from A Separate Peace and the kids in Lord of the Flies – only a little more screwed up.”

Jean also jokes with EW, telling how Dan got a second role with the series when the executive producer met him after Dan’s performance of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

“He is one of the people who actually listens to Simpsons DVD commentaries.”

Radcliffe previously lent his voice to the series back in 2010 for a story involving Lisa and her romantic interest in the son of Dracula, a young vampire named Edmund.

New episodes of the series will begin on September 29, 2013 on Fox. Will you be tuning in to the 25th season of The Simpsons to “see” Dan as Diggs? What do you think his character’s story will be? Share your thoughts on Dan’s guest role in the comment section!
