LeakyCon 2014 in Orlando: registration info, special perks, and more!

In a special livestream this evening, LeakyCon announced a whole set of important details for those looking to attend LeakyCon 2014 in Orlando, Florida!

The convention will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from Wednesday, July 30 to Sunday, August 3.

This means that the convention will include the July 31 birthday of Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling! Also, magically enough, the traditional Esther Earl Rocking Charity Ball will lead in to August 3, which is Esther Day.

Registration for the convention will open at 3 p.m. Eastern Time on October 19. The prices for this year are listed below:

  • LeakyCon Lit Only – $100
  • General Admission – $150
  • LeakyCon Lit + General Admission – $250
  • Rockstar Pass – $350

During the livestream, they also announced some pretty amazing convention perks, which are available for purchase to help support the Harry Potter Alliance’s Equality FtW 2013 campaign. Those perks are going quickly but can be found alongside other great perks on the campaign website.

Those who have attended LeakyCon in the past know it is an amazing weekend, full of Harry Potter and other fandom excitement. This year is particularly special because it takes place very close to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which will soon complete its newest expansion area of Diagon Alley!
