Mark Williams set to host BBC daytime quiz show

It has been announced that Mark Williams, who portrayed Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films, will host his own daytime quiz show, The Link, on BBC One.

The premise of The Link will be three teams competing to figure out the link between a set of four questions. The faster each team figures out the connection, the more links they will break, which will give them a chance to win money. In a final round, teams will compete to break Super Links, and the ultimate winner will take home a cash prize.

Damian Kavanagh, the daytime controller of BBC, has said of the decision to choose Mark,

The Link appealed to us because of its innovative question style and challenging gameplay. Mark Williams will give the show a different flavor, which we hope will delight the audience.”

BBC has ordered 25 episodes of The Link to start, but in the meantime, you can watch Mark Williams (and the Phelps twins!) play Two Truths and a Lie with the MuggleNet staff at the Harry Potter Celebration back in January!

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
