MuggleNet Interviews Chute 212 Artistic Director Sidney Rice

Chute 212 is an upcoming Harry Potter conference scheduled to take place from Wednesday, July 2 to Sunday, July 6, 2014. We previously reported that the conference is looking for your ideas and how the conference center space will be transformed into an entire wizard town. Now, we would like to provide further information and detail on the town, in the form of an interview with Chute’s artistic director Sidney Rice.

In addition to discovering more about the areas that are being made for the Chute 212 experience, Sidney also went into detail about her concept of Create-play, a theatrical immersion exercise through which all guests will have the ability to create their own fictional witch or wizard, and participate in events throughout the conference that are in-character, as part of the magical citizenry. This interview is available now by clicking on the player below. We are very excited to attend Chute 212 this July. Potential attendees should note that the conference has an Early Broom special, which offers discounted admission now through March 15. More information can be found on the website.
