“A Young Doctor’s Notebook” available on DVD in the US July 1!

Many fans have already enjoyed the darkly comical miniseries A Young Doctor’s Notebook, an adaptation of the writings of Russian novelist Mikhail Bulgakov, which stars Daniel Radcliffe. The series, which has currently run for two seasons, first aired in the UK at the end of 2012 and in the US during the summer of 2013.

If you somehow managed to miss the series – in which Radcliffe plays a young Bulgakov dealing with his appointment as a doctor in the remote Russian countryside (or if you just can’t wait to watch it again!) – the first season of the show will be available to purchase in the US beginning July 1!

Like many of Dan’s post-Potter projects, his role in A Young Doctor’s Notebook is a far cry from his days as the boy wizard, showcasing his depth as an actor. Have you seen the show? What did you think of his performance in it?

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
