How did you become a Harry Potter fan?

When I was in 2nd grade, my brother was really into Harry Potter, so one day,  when I was in the school library, I decided to read it. I remember quite clearly (which is strange for me, because I have an absolutely terrible memory, my parents actually think I suffer from short term memory loss) picking up a hardback cover of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and plopping doing on a couch. And I can still remember opening the book and turning to the first page.

What do you think you might see if given the chance to look into the Mirror of Erised?

I think that if I looked into the Mirror of Erised, I would see myself at Hogwarts. I know that is what most people would say, but I have a really good reason. See, at school, I really don’t fit in. I live in a small town where people are more interested in hunting and sports then books and  school, so it’s no secret that I don’t fit in. And it doesn’t help that I’m constantly obsessing over Harry Potter, AND a male dancer. So being at Hogwarts for me is all about being in the place where I fit in, because I feel as though I belong there. Plus having magic would be sooooo amazing.

Describe what being part of the Harry Potter fandom has meant to you in seven words or less.

Fitting in to something I really love.

OMG! J.K. Rowling is writing a new film series! I am so excited for…

I am excited about the fact that Jo is writing it, so it pretty much has to be perfect. It will definably have humor and deceiving plot twists as well as the great characterization Jo makes that you can not find anywhere else. Plus I can’t wait to see all the beasts. I really want you see how they do lethifolds, kelpies, and augureys. Also, I never went to any of the Harry Potter film premieres, because when the last one came out, I was still reading the last book, and I didn’t want to ruin it I think. I might have been done with the books, and it was rated PG-13, so I was too young. But that still is my biggest regret, although I’m glad I didn’t spoil it for myself. It will be cool to go to the premiers for these.
