Daniel Radcliffe in talks to star in “You Shall Know Our Velocity”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Radcliffe is in talks to star in an adaptation of the Dave Eggers novel You Shall Know Our Velocity.

It sounds like the adaptation of the 2002 novel is right in line with the eclectic projects Dan has been participating in since finishing filming Potter:

In [the film], based on the best-selling book by Dave Eggers, the Harry Potter actor will play a bookish and awkward young man who sets off with a self-proclaimed ladies’ man to take a late friend’s ashes to the Egyptian pyramids. Armed with a round-the-world plane ticket and a $32,000 insurance payoff from the car accident that killed their friend, their plan is to distribute the money along the way to those in need.

This project is still in the very early stages, but is it something you’d be excited to see Dan in? Have you read the novel? Let us know in the comments!

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
