Five coveted autographs from BEA!

In case you didn’t want to read the full article covering MuggleNet’s visit to BEA (although you should head over there to enter to win an awesome Silkworm T-shirt!), here’s the quick and dirty on five of the most coveted author autographs from last weekend.

1. Zodiac by Stan Lee

Zodiac by Stan Lee BEA 2014

This may only be a sampler of Lee’s upcoming YA novel, and you may not have been able to get anything personalized by this comics icon, but we still stood in line for hours to get the chance to spend a few seconds with him.

2. Landline by Rainbow Rowell

Landline by Rainbow Rowell

Fans have been clamoring for this adult effort from Eleanor & Park author Rainbow Rowell for months. Many eager fans were turned away when Rainbow was actually on the show floor autographing, although ARCs were given away a few other times over the weekend.

3. Wolf in White Van by John Darnielle

This is the absolute first thing I tried to get when I arrived at BEA on Thursday, only to find out they weren’t giving it away until Saturday. Wolf in White Van is the first effort of Mountain Goats frontman John Darnielle, and sometimes I just stare at this book before I go to sleep at night.

4. The One by Kiera Cass

The One by Kiera Cass

Even though I was underwhelmed by the storytelling in The Selection I have to admit that Kiera Cass did an excellent job of making readers care deeply about the love triangle between her heroine America and her suitors Maxon and Aspen. This signed hardcover, accompanied by a chance to meet Kiera herself, had fans jostling for a place in line.

5. Clariel by Garth Nix

The final book in the Abhorsen trilogy was published a decade ago, but fans never gave up hoping Garth Nix would revisit that world. Finally, a prequel to the trilogy, Clariel will be published next October! Add the fact that Nix hails from Australia and rarely makes it to the US to the long wait, and you’ve got a lot of very hysterical fans.
