West End’s “Skylight”, starring Bill Nighy, to be broadcast live to cinemas

According to BroadwayWorld, the West End production of Skylight, starring Bill Nighy (Rufus Scrimgeour), will be broadcast live to theaters via National Theatre Live.

The play, directed by Academy Award-nominated director Stephen Daldry, is set to hit movie theaters in the UK starting Thursday, July 18. It will also be broadcast to various other international movie theaters starting Thursday, October 23.

On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis (Mulligan) receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant (Nighy), a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.
