How did you become a Harry Potter fan?

When I was in 4th grade (age 9) I had a huge writing assessment coming up the next day. I asked my dad to read me a bit of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone for some writing inspiration, but I was scared to actually start reading the books myself. After my dad read me a random couple of pages and tucked me in, I snuck to my bookshelf and grabbed the book. I fell into the world of Harry Potter and within a month I was done with the entire series! I’ve been a Potterhead ever since.

What do you think you might see if given the chance to look into the Mirror of Erised?

If I was standing in front of the Mirror of Erised, I’m positive that I would see myself at Hogwarts. Not Hogwarts in Florida (although that’d be amazing too), but real Hogwarts, straight out of J. K. Rowling’s books. I’d give anything to just be able to step into this incredible fictional world that has changed my life. I truly dream of my letter from Hogwarts, my first journey to Platform 9 3/4, and just being able to live in the world of Harry Potter.

If you could have one prop from the set of the films, which would it be?

I would definitely have those “round glasses held together with a lot of Scotch tape” because such a simple object represents so much. Those glasses have such a significant meaning to them and I think it’d be amazing to actually be able to have them. They mark Harry’s childhood, but also Harry’s teenage years and adulthood because he still wears those same glasses.
