Just moments ago, Universal Orlando announced via their blog that even though Diagon Alley will not actually open until July 8 as indicated at the Diagon Alley preview event, guests at the park will be treated to a limited early admission as part of a “soft open.”
A lucky few were given access to the new King’s Cross station to board the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade this afternoon around 3 p.m., and according to Universal, “there will be windows when the Hogwarts Express, along with King’s Cross station and Hogsmeade station, will be open for you to enjoy” during the days leading up to July 8.
Attractions Magazine has also been tweeting today about the soft open with the hashtag #potterwatch. One picture shows a sign in King’s CrosssStation that warns riders that certain elements of the ride may not be working, which you can view below:
Not that anything else could make us more excited about Diagon Alley, but the pics and tweets are really dragging out the anticipation! Are you excited to see the new elements of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for yourself? What will be the first ride or store you’ll be making a run for when you visit?
