We posted the first pictures from the set of The Casual Vacancy last week, and as filming continues, we’ve got more updates to fill you in on!
The film crews have moved to Painswick from Northleach, where a shop has been transformed into a funeral parlor set. You can see a couple of photos from the Painswick sets below:
But the crews won’t be there for long! It has been announced that filming will very soon move to Minchinhampton. Nick Hurst, the chairman of the local parish council, has said of the decision,
I think it is good for Minchinhampton. It will put us on the map, and it will really encourage people to recognise what an attractive and welcoming town this is. Also, hopefully, in the longer term, increased tourism should help our businesses.
Finally, we have a few more pictures of actors on the set! Like our last gallery, these largely feature Sir Michael Gambon as Howard Mollison, but we also see some more glimpses of Julia McKenzie as Shirley Mollison and Hetty Banes as Maureen Lowe – as well as the first look at Rufus Jones as Howard’s son, Miles Mollison. Check them out below!
Do any of you live near where filming is taking place? Are you excited for the filming to finish? Let us know in the comments!
