Emma Watson to star in political thriller “Colonia”

Emma Watson’s next starring role has just been announced! According to the Hollywood Reporter, Emma Watson is set to co-star with Daniel Brühl in Colonia, a historical political thriller directed by Florian Gallenberger.

Colonia tells the story of Lena and Daniel, a young couple who get caught up in the 1973 Chilean military coup. After Daniel is abducted by the secret police, Lena sets off in search of him, only to find herself at Colonia Dignidad. Colonia Dignidad is supposedly a mission operation run by preacher Paul Schäfer, but Lena discovers that something much more sinister is going on. To find Daniel, she’ll have to infiltrate the mission.

The film sounds considerably more intense than many of Emma’s roles, and it will be exciting to see her step up to a new dramatic challenge. The film is already in pre-production and is currently set to be released in 2015.

I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
