Fantastic Beasts: MINISTRY BULLETIN: Officials Urge Caution While in Close Proximity to Beasts

As I’m sure you are all aware, Muggle Eddie Redmayne has been chosen to portray Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts movie, due out next November. Over the past few weeks, anticipation (of both Muggles and wizards) has been running high, and things have hit a breaking point over the last 48 hours. Unprecedented “beast incidents” have been popping up all over the world, and while the various Ministries worldwide are doing all they can to advise against unqualified witches and wizards coming in close contact with magical beasts, officials would like me to share their classifications with the wizarding community, as a reminder to exercise caution.

XXXXX – Known wizard killer; impossible to train or domesticate

Ex. Chimaera chimaera

XXXX – Dangerous; requires specialist knowledge; skilled wizard may handle

Ex. KelpieKelpie

XXX – Competent wizard should cope

Ex. Fwooperfwooper

XX – Harmless; may be domesticated

Ex. Jobberknolljobberknoll

X – Boring

Ex. Horklumphorklump
