Role Reversal: What If the “Potter” Cast Were Gender Swapped?

Amidst the recent surfacing of a few artists’ depictions of superheroes and other popular characters as the opposite gender than what they are usually represented as, I began to think about what our beloved Harry Potter cast might look like if the genders were swapped. Who would be a female Dumbledore? What sort of teenage girl would Harry be? With these questions in mind, I brought the idea to MuggleNet’s own Creative Team, and we all put our heads together to bring you this list of actors who could have played the roles of our gender-swapped Potter cast. Some are ridiculous, conjuring up entertaining images, while others could very well be candidates if ever the roles were switched around. After reading our list, sound off in the comments with your own ideas. First I’ll list my picks:

I was 9 years old when I discovered the magic that is “Harry Potter.” I am a proud Hufflepuff and exceedingly good at eating, reading, being sarcastic, and over-thinking small tasks. Since I spent too much time worrying about the correct way to write this bio, this is all I was able to come up with before the deadline.
