Celebrate the First Birthday of Diagon Alley with a Magical Photo Op!

CORRECTION: This photo op is set to take place on July 6th, 2015 at London King’s Cross in London, UK. Details here.

Universal Studios Orlando will be celebrating the first birthday of its new Diagon Alley attraction, and they’ve got a magical surprise planned for fans of Harry Potter! Celebration attendees will get to participate in a special 3D photo op!

3D graffiti artists Max’n’Joe have created an image in chalk of the main street of Diagon Alley. When Potter fans have their picture taken in front of it, it will give the illusion that they are actually walking right into Diagon Alley itself.

The event is being hosted by Tribe Marketing and Brand Warriors and will be taking place inside the theme park at King’s Cross station. Chris Russell of Tribe Marketing describes their inspiration for holding the photo op:

As the father of three young Harry Potter fans, bringing Diagon Alley to life like this has been a brilliant experience. Our brief was to promote Universal Orlando and its Harry Potter attractions in as magical a way as possible, and this activity certainly delivers.  And what better place to celebrate than King’s Cross, the starting point for so many magical adventures for Harry and his friends?

The event will be taking place on Monday, July 6. Participants will be able to immediately view and share their photos online here.

Will any of you be attending this enchanting event? If you do, make sure to share your pictures with us!
