Goldsboro Books, Waterstones Offering Chance for Signed “Career of Evil”

UPDATE: We have confirmed that the Waterstones promotions is also open WORLDWIDE – so get ordering, and good luck!

Career of Evil, the third book in the Cormoran Stirke series, is set to be published in just a little over a month, and we couldn’t be more excited! Well, okay, there’s one thing that could possibly get us more excited – the chance to get a signed copy of the book!

At this time, there aren’t any US promotions for signed copies of Career of Evil, but two UK bookstores, Goldsboro Books and Waterstones, are giving readers around the world a chance to obtain a very rare copy of Career of Evil signed by Robert Galbraith himself!

Here’s a description of the promotion from Goldsboro Books:

We have designed a ‘Strike it Lucky’, ticket which will be randomly inserted into parcels being dispatched from Goldsboro Books. This ticket will entitle you to purchase one copy of the novel on 20 [sic] October 2015. You don’t have to attend the shop to purchase your copy…To be in with the chance to receive a ticket, you must simply make an order from our website between 31st [sic] July and 1st [sic] October 2015 and write [-] in the coupon code box [-] [‘]Career of Evil[‘]. You may enter the competition as many times as you want, [but] you will only be able to win one copy of the novel. This means that the more orders you place in this time period, the more chance you have of winning a signed copy!

Please note that your order must be a paid order for an item that is in stock, not a pre-order for books not yet published. This is the only way to enter yourself into the draw; email and telephone orders or enquiries will not be accepted and neither will any orders made before or after this time period.

If you are one of the lucky few [who] ‘Strike it Lucky’ and find yourself to be in possession of a ticket, then you will be able to purchase your signed first edition of [‘]Career of Evil[‘].

We’ve confirmed with Goldsboro Books that this promotion is open WORLDWIDE – as long as you are willing to pay international shipping!

The promotion being run by Waterstones is a little simpler – all you have to do is pre-order Career of Evil from them before October 19 at 9:00 a.m. BST, and there’s a chance your copy will be one of a very limited number of signed copies! We have not yet been able to confirm that this promotion is open worldwide, but there is nothing on the Waterstones site that indicates it isn’t – so we’re taking that as our cue to order our UK hardcover first editions from Waterstones, just in case!

We’ll keep you updated if we learn of any more Career of Evil promotions in the coming weeks!
