Daniel Radcliffe Joins Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves in “The Modern Ocean”

Daniel Radcliffe is on board for the shipping drama The Modern Ocean. He will join an all-star cast that also includes Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves, Chloe Grace Moretz, Tom Holland, Asa Butterfield, Abraham Attah, and Jeff Goldblum.

FilmNation Entertainment, which will be selling the movie at this week’s American Film Market, describes the story:

‘The Modern Ocean’ centers on the competition for valuable shipping routes; the search for the hidden cache of priceless material and the powerful need for vengeance will converge in a spectacular battle on the rolling decks of behemoth cargo ships. This epic tale, fraught with danger and intrigue, takes us from the ancient trading houses of Algeria to the darkest depths of the ocean floor.

The Modern Ocean will be directed by emerging filmmaker Shane Carruth, who will also act in the film. Carruth has previously directed Upstream Color, which won the Special Jury Prize at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, and Primer, which won the Grand Jury Prize and the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.

Information about the actors’ roles has not been revealed yet, but we’ll keep you updated.

Dan certainly seems to keep busy, with Victor Frankenstein hitting theaters later this month and other upcoming roles in Swiss Army Man, Imperium, Now You See Me 2, and Young Americans. Which of Dan’s upcoming projects are you most excited for?
