First Trailer Released For “Now You See Me 2”, Starring Daniel Radcliffe!

The last time we reported on Now You See Me 2 (also known as Now You See Me: The Second Act), Daniel Radcliffe and the rest of the cast were still filming in Macau. It has been a few months, however, and the first trailer for the film has arrived!

Entertainment Weekly writes,

The new trailer for Now You See Me 2 features plenty of mind-bending magic, from disappearing acts to upside-down rain, but of all the cast members, the one with the worst magic skills is, surprisingly, the only one with wizard training: Daniel Radcliffe.

They add,

The Horsemen are now three instead of four [since] Isla Fisher isn’t returning, but Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine are all reprising their roles, with newcomers Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan joining them. Jon M. Chu (Jem and the Holograms) replaces Louis Leterrier as director. The original was a surprise box office hit, and Lionsgate is already working on a third movie in the series.

Check out the trailer below!

Now You See Me 2 is scheduled for release on June 10, 2016.

I’m really looking forward to this movie as I loved the first one. and the effects for the sequel look amazing.

and I’m glad that Dan isn’t against ‘magic roles’ outside of potter, althought based on the wording of his interview about it it’s because he wasn’t thinking about it.

well i hope he’s not unwilling to be in movies with explicit magic elements, because it be fun to see him in a different magic- verse

but there are two things that are making me a nervous:

    1. Dan’s little scene in the trailer made me feel so much second hand embarrassment.
I hope he gets to be a seriously threat antagonist and not a one dimensional cartoon villain that the four horsemen can easily defeat. that would make the stakes of the movie very low.

    2. I’m really not sold on Lizzy Caplan. I know that Isla couldn’t return, but Caplan seemed so out of place.
