Shanghai Feels the Hogwarts Magic

Harry Potter: The Exhibition will re-lift it’s curtains this weekend in the bustling city of Shanghai. Having previously welcomed and astonished over 3 million guests elsewhere in the world, the exhibition is known to generate enormous amounts of excitement.

Guests will be treated to be over 1400 square meters of magic, featuring film-inspired displays which house some of the actual props from the films including the Marauder’s map, Harry’s school uniform and glasses, and Voldemort’s robes.

After a number of lucky guests are sorted into Hogwarts houses, they will be able to see authentic recreations of the Great Hall, the Gryffindor Common Room and Hagrid’s hut as well as the Potions and Herbology classrooms. Here, not only will they be able to see the incredible craftsmanship that went into the filmmaking, but also be a part of the magic by participating in a Herbology class by pulling a mandrake from the soil, or tossing a Quaffle around the pitch.

You can find out more about the exhibition by catching up with our reports from previous stops, including Paris and Chicago. Find out more about where the exhibition has already been here.

The exhibition will last for three months, starting this Saturday December 5 at the Super Brand Mall. Will you be going to the exhibition? Have you been to one in the past? Let us know in the comments!
