The Chronicles of Hogwarts

During my latest The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe rewatch, I noticed many similar traits between the characters from both series. I’ve matched up each character to their corresponding characters.

Dumbledore as Aslan

Both Aslan and Dumbledore are powerful and wise. They are both respected and feared, and they help the protagonists with their respective enemies.

Voldemort as Jadis, the White Witch

Voldemort and Jadis are both the villains in their worlds who want to rule their whole magical land. However, they are prevented from reaching their goal by their foes.

Ginny Weasley as Lucy Pevensie

Ginny and Lucy are both characters who start off as young and naïve characters whom their older siblings often dismiss and ignore. They grow into powerful and respected women throughout their relevant series.

Harry Potter as Peter Pevensie

Both boys have a prophecy foretelling their immense tasks. They are both brave, and despite their minor stumbles, they manage to overcome their fears and defeat their enemies.

Hermione Granger as Susan Pevensie

Hermione and Susan are initially distant from the others. However, this changes when they, along with the other characters, encounter challenges. They both grow throughout their corresponding series and become strong and heroic women.

Ron Weasley as Edmund Pevensie

Edmund started off by betraying his siblings in Narnia, before working hard to repair his blunder. Ron’s mistake was walking away from Harry and Hermione, but he, too, eventually made up for it.

Hagrid as Mr. Beaver

Mr. Beaver and Hagrid aid the heroes by, sometimes unwittingly, giving out valuable information. In addition, they are both loyal and help their friends any way they can.

Sirius Black as Mr. Tumnus

Both characters were imprisoned for their actions; Sirius was falsely accused, whereas Mr. Tumnus was unfairly arrested for treason. Once they get out of their respective prisons, they do what they can to assist the main characters.

Bellatrix Lestrange as Ginnarbrik

Both Bellatrix and Ginnarbrik are loyal to their masters and help them in their missions. Ultimately, they both meet their tragic demise in battle.

What do you think of my list? Are there any other characters you would cast? Let us know in the comments!
