Watch: Jamie Parker Talks Playing Harry Potter on Stage

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child finally had its Opening Gala this past weekend, and now Pottermore has shared a new video interview with Jamie Parker, who plays Harry in the play.

Although Parker has worked in large theater productions before, it’s been an entirely new experience for him to portray such an iconic character to such an enthusiastic audience, and he’s definitely enjoying it.

I’ve never worked on a play where I’ve heard audible gasps from audiences… just [from the] release of information.

Hear more of what he had to say and see some brief visual clips from the play here:

A new block of 250,000 Cursed Child tickets was released and sold out on Thursday for performances through December 2017. Fans had to wait several hours in the online queue to get their tickets.
