by Krystal

This wonderful DIY creation was sent to us by someone who received a new copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for Christmas and decided to repurpose her old paperback copy of the book instead of throwing it out.

What You’ll Need:

  • Coffee table (or some other kind of furniture or surface)
  • Old copy of a Harry Potter book (or copied/printed pages from the books)
  • Sandpaper
  • Mod Podge
  • Paint brush
  • Acrylic sealer

Directions:

Step 1: Pick your favorite pages from Harry Potter, and either tear them out or copy them.

Step 2: Sand down your table or surface of choice.

Step 3: Lay out your pages onto the table and use Mod Podge to adhere them to the surface. Remember to follow the instructions on the container.

Step 4: Use acrylic sealer to keep your pages from the dangers of spilled tea during reading time.

Step 5: If you have any pages left, you can use the same steps to create coasters to match your table. Just make sure to attach felt to the bottom of the coasters so they don’t slide around.
