UPDATE 9/29/16: The cities for the Fan Event have been confirmed! Here they are:

  • New York
  • Los Angeles: Colin Farrell and Jon Voight will be in attendance.
  • London: Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, and David Yates will be in attendance.
  • Sao Paulo
  • Rome
  • Mexico City
  • San Francisco
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Miami
  • Orlando
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Toronto

It looks like there will only be cast present in person at two of the events, London and Los Angeles, and the rest of the theaters will just be streaming the interviews. But, according to the Press Release, fans from all venues will have the chance to submit questions.

Tickets for many of the cities have already been added to the ticket page (but not all – keep checking back). Don’t delay in snagging yours!

Original Article:
As if the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hasn’t got us excited enough, WB announced today that they will host a Global Fan Event at participating theaters, featuring a live Q&A with cast and never-before-seen footage from the film! For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed on the film’s official Facebook page.

Here’s the announcement video:

Free passes are available here. Right now, the only theaters are in Hollywood and New York, but we expect that more will be added soon to make the event “global.” These will go FAST, so don’t delay on getting your hands on some! As you’ll notice if you’ve managed to obtain tickets, there is a warning that the theater is overbooked to ensure a full house. Please note that this means even having a ticket doesn’t guarantee you entry!

WB held a similar event leading up to the release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in 2013 – so we have a little bit of an idea of what to expect. For the Hobbit event, various cast members were present at four theaters around the world: New York, Los Angeles, London, and Wellington. In addition, nine other theaters around the world hosted fans and screened the footage, including many around Europe, one in Toronto, and an additional theater in the US (Miami). At all locations, fans were given T-shirts commemorating the occasion and watched a few minutes of Q&A (either live or streamed), followed by about ten minutes of the film.

We expect that the event for Fantastic Beasts will be much the same, but remember that we don’t know that for sure. Stay tuned for more updates about the event!

How early do you suggest showing up to this? I got tickets but have never attended an event like this before. Will people line up at 6 am? Or closer to the actual event time

  • Caitlin

You have to go on the website and see. There is only one time listed and the only place that this is happening is in Hollywood.

    I hope that help Save!

It’s sort of annoying that the event is limited to one side of the globe… No chance for anyone from anywhere else in the world to ever experience something like this :/

    • Was going to say that. Can’t call this global if it’s only the Americas and Europe.
