UPDATED: Our First Taste of Emma Watson SINGING as Belle Has Arrived!

UPDATE: Disney has now released an official version of the clip of Emma singing “Something There” from Beauty and the Beast. Listen here:

——————————————-

The world can’t wait to see Emma Watson star as Belle in the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, but although we’ve finally seen what she looks like in costume, one question still remains: What does Emma’s singing voice sound like? Although the actress has starred in several films since her Potter days, none of them has required her to sing. Now, thanks to some sharp-eyed Toys R’ Us shoppers, we have our first taste of how she will sound!

The samples of Watson singing were recorded from a Belle doll that has recently hit stores. In the two videos below, you can hear two different short clips from the song “Something There.”

The soundtrack for the film won’t be released until March 17 – the same day the film comes out – so it may be a while before we get to hear more! The tracklist for the soundtrack has not yet been released, but there will be a deluxe, two-disc edition available that includes a limited-edition lithograph from the film.

How do you think Emma sounds?

Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
