Watch the Deleted Ilvermorny School Song from “Fantastic Beasts”

We can finally hear the Ilvermorny school song that was sadly left on the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them cutting room floor. Both David Yates and Alison Sudol have talked about it in interviews.

This newly released extended scene from Fantastic Beasts features Tina and Queenie sweetly singing their school song for Newt and Jacob while reminiscing about school:

Afterward, Newt and Jacob give a round of applause, and we hear Jacob’s very relatable line that was used in the trailers: “I want to be a wizard.”

Here are the full lyrics:

(ca-caw, ca-caw)
(purr, purr)

We stand as one, united
Against the Puritan
We draw our inspiration
From good witch Morrigan

For she was persecuted
By common wandless men
So she fled from distant Ireland
And so our school began

Oh! Ilvermorny, Massachusetts
We choo-choose it
We choo-choose it
The wizard school supreme

Your castle walls, they kept us safe
The days with you, a dream
You taught us all our magic
And now one thing’s quite clear

Where’er we roam
Where’er we roam
Our one true home
Our one and own

Is Ilvermorny dear!

The Fantastic Beasts DVD and Blu-ray will be released on March 27 with several deleted scenes.

What do you think of the Ilvermorny school song? How does it compare to Hogwarts’ song?
