Pottermore Releases New Marauders Artwork!

If you love the Marauders era as much as we do, you’re in luck! Pottermore has released a set of simply spellbinding artwork depicting our favorite band of troublemakers: Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs.

Many of us are still hoping for a Marauders backstory, but these animations might hold us over for a little while longer.

The artwork was done by Montse Bernal and features James, Remus, Peter, and Sirius individually, surrounded by watercolor images of their Animagi (and a wolf for Remus, naturally), as well as omens of their future. At first glance, the pictures look like just that: pictures. But if you look harder and for just a little longer, you see the most subtle movements and changes in facial expressions, much like the enchanted portraits we see in the Potter films.
