NoMajNet No More – A New Era of MuggleNet Begins

All day we’ve been sharing our ideas for a new direction for MuggleNet, something that we thought you all would just LOVE! Turns out, we were wrong… again. It seems that you, our faithful readers, simply want a site that loves the entire wizarding world equally. Color us surprised!

A major part of this April Fools’ prank (yeah, it was a clever [not so?] plan all along) was to show you all that we watch, we read, and we listen to every. single. comment. that each and every one of you makes. We are a passionate community of fans who love Potter and the wizarding world just as much as you do – we simply have a built-in platform on which to express our passion.

MuggleNet has gone through a lot of drastic, sudden change in the past few months.

It was a hard time for the site and for our volunteers, but in a lot of ways, it was truly wonderful. We were presented with an opportunity to redefine who we were and what we wanted to present to the world. We have talked more with each other in the last two months than we have over the last few years combined, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive.

We want you to know that we are here. To stay. Forever.

Always, as we all like to say. We have plans to grow bigger, bolder, and more inclusive. Our volunteer journalists and editorialists have been freed and feel more encouraged to write their hearts, their opinions, and their point of views than ever before!

Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.

We value diversity of ideals, motivations, and beliefs and plan to thrive off that for many, many years to come.

Our hope is that with this new direction, every Potter fan in the world who chooses to visit our site will find a piece of themselves within our little corner of the Internet, that Harry, Newt, J.K. Rowling, and beyond will continue to bring readers from all walks of life together in a way that is unprecedented and beautiful.

We are probably going to piss you off at times, as you’ll probably do the same to us. That is GREAT! We are all about the passionate reaction at MuggleNet, and we cannot wait to share our passion with you.

Welcome to a new era of MuggleNet. It’s good to be home.

I am a 40-something Ravenclaw/Slytherin from Massachusetts. I've been lucky in life and can attribute a lot of that to Harry Potter. Without it, I wouldn't have at least 80% of the things I do today, including my career & closest friends. I truly despise Sirius Black.
