Emma Watson to Present at Golden Globes

The fabulous Emma Watson is scheduled to present an award at the upcoming 75th annual Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced.

Other presenters include Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Furious 7), Kerry Washington (Scandal, Django Unchained), Halle Berry (Catwoman, Die Another Day), Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Snow White and the Huntsman), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother, Gone Girl), Carol Burnett (Annie), and Amy Poehler (Inside Out, Parks and Recreation). The show will be hosted by Late Night host Seth Meyers and is expected to make reference to Hollywood’s rampant sexual harassment scandals.

We can also expect to see a variety of other Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts actors at the awards, including Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), nominated for Darkest Hour; David Thewlis (Remus Lupin), nominated for Fargo; and Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore, Fantastic Beasts), nominated for The Young Pope.

Emma herself had two films come out this past year: the incredibly popular live-action Beauty and the Beast and the technology-based thriller The Circle, for which she won a combined total of four Teen Choice Awards and one of the first gender-neutral MTV Movie & TV Awards for Best Actor.

The Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC on January 7, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.

I have been a fan of Harry since 2000, a fan of MuggleNet since 2005, and a MuggleNet team member since 2013. I believe in the power of stories to bring people together, and nothing does that quite like Harry Potter. I live in Toronto, Canada.
