“Hogwarts Mystery” Adds Friendship-Building Side Quests

Hogwarts Mystery released a new update on Wednesday, giving players another way to gain much-sought-after energy! The update includes two to three new side quests that allow players to level up their friendships and earn rewards in the form of energy or gems.

The first quest is to play Gobstones with a chosen friend in the Courtyard, very similar to the Gobstones quest in Year 1. Next, players can have a meal with a friend in the Great Hall. Then, some players who have unlocked Hogsmeade are able to drink butterbeer with a friend at the Three Broomsticks – this quest is reportedly in beta testing.

These friendship-building quests can be completed regularly, which is great if you find yourself routinely frustrated by how quickly you run out of energy. However, there is a rather long waiting period between each instance you can complete the quests. The Gobstones and butterbeer quests can be completed every 16 hours, and the meal quest seems to have a waiting period of between 6 and 10 hours, depending on how far along you are in the game.

If you have not yet discovered the other ways to grab free energy in the game, check them out here.

Hogwarts Mystery has yet to release Year 4 of the story, but we expect it should be coming very soon. You can check out these newly released statistics that show just how popular the game has been with Harry Potter fans!
