Rumor: New Wizarding World LEGO Sets to Be Released a Month Early?

In recent weeks, we’ve been hearing more and more about the six upcoming Harry Potter LEGO sets, including seeing the new box designs and the recently announced Newt’s Case set. If you’re one of the fans who has been getting increasingly excited about the first Harry Potter LEGO sets since 2011, then you’re in luck – Brick Fanatics is reporting that some of the sets may go on sale a month earlier than expected!

Originally set to be released on August 1, Brick Fanatics reports that users on the Eurobricks forums are saying some of the new LEGO sets will instead be hitting shelves July 1. According to their report, the four Harry Potter sets – Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953), Hogwarts Great Hall (75954), Hogwarts Express (75955), and Quidditch Match (75956) – will now be available on July 1. The Fantastic Beasts sets, including Newt’s Case (75952) and Grindelwald’s Escape (75951), will still hit shelves on August 1. So while you’ll still have to wait a month and a half for those sets, you can at least build the Harry Potter kits while you’re waiting.

For now, this remains a rumor, but Brick Fanatics and Eurobricks were right once before when they predicted that there would be new wizarding world LEGO sets in 2018, so we have a hunch this report will turn out to be correct. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more!

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
