“Entertainment Weekly” Reveals Exclusive SDCC 20 Years of “Potter” Poster!

There is a lot of wizarding magic to look forward to at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, including the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald panel and a rumored appearance by Ezra Miller (Credence Barebone). To add to our already building excitement, Entertainment Weekly has announced details of a Scholastic panel to celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter, along with an exclusive SDCC Potter poster!

The panel, “20 Years of Magic: Inside Harry Potter,” will bring together artists and editors who have been involved in the production of the Potter books across the past two decades. Illustrators Kazu Kibuishi, Jim Kay, and Brian Selznick will be in attendance, along with the person responsible for publishing the US books, Arthur A. Levine. The original Potter book illustrator, Mary GrandPré, will also provide an exclusive message for the panel.

In addition to that amazing lineup, Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed a new poster commemorating the evolution of character illustrations over the last 20 years. What’s more, illustrators Jim Kay, Brian Selznick, and Kazu Kibuishi will be signing copies of the poster exclusively at SDCC! Check out the poster below.

What do you think of the new poster? Which illustration is your favorite?

I was given a copy of Philosopher's Stone in 2001, and instantly, I was hooked. Since then, my passion for Potter has been equaled only by my passion for fair access to education (and watching motorsport). A spell I wish could exist in the Muggle world is the summoning charm because this Hufflepuff is not a "particularly good finder"!
