Brand-New Wizarding World Cafes to Open in Japan

Harry Potter fans in Japan are in for a treat: An interactive Harry Potter– and Fantastic Beasts-themed cafe, called the Wizarding World Cafe, will open next month.

This unique cafe will be opening in Shinjuku and Hakata for a limited time: November 9, 2018, to January 31, 2019. As can be expected of anything Harry Potter related, these cafes are anything but ordinary. Apart from offering wizarding world-themed food and drinks, customers will also be able to see a premiere of never-before-seen footage of the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie.

The venue will consist of three areas. There will be a movie area where fans can dive into the world of Fantastic Beasts, a cafe where customers can experience the world of the film, and a shop, which will be selling limited-edition merchandise. Fans who reserve their spot ahead of time will also receive other original limited novelty goods.

The Wizarding World Cafe is the first of its kind arising from the collaboration of wizarding worlds between Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. With the new film’s release drawing nearer every day, there is no better way to heighten your excitement than spending some time surrounded by all things Harry Potter related.

Details and reservation instructions will be available on Otakuma’s official website within a few days. In the meantime, you can have a look at an artist’s rendition of the cafe below.

Growing up, I was a massive fan of Harry Potter and my love for the stories grew as I got older. It’s no surprise then that I love writing about all things Potter related. When I’m not writing about all the magic, you’ll find me reading (probably something Harry Potter related), listening to music, or writing some songs.
