Emma Thompson Is Officially the Coolest Dame Ever

Joining the likes of fellow Harry Potter actresses Maggie Smith (Minerva McGonagall) and Julie Walters (Molly Weasley), Emma Thompson (Sybill Trelawney) is now officially Dame Emma Thompson!

Of course, being Emma Thompson, she couldn’t resist getting a little cheeky with Prince William and trying to get a little kiss in.

I love Prince William. I’ve known him since he was little, and we just sniggered at each other. I said, ‘I can’t kiss you, can I?’ And he said, ‘No, don’t!’

In the new dame’s defense, Prince William is pretty irresistible. He even left her with some kind words, saying, “This day isn’t about me. It’s about you!” Emma has been a longtime friend of the royal family and said that being given this honor by them is “a very lovely feeling.”

Emma then added that even with her new title, she isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon.
