Chicago Visitors Can Now Experience “Fantastic Beasts” in Augmented Reality with Magic Leap

Love Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald so much you wish you could live inside Newt’s briefcase? We can’t help you there, but we may know the next best thing – experiencing the world of Fantastic Beasts in augmented reality using the Magic Leap One. The Magic Leap One is a set of mixed reality goggles that allow users to experience augmented worlds using AR technology.

From now until January 10, visitors to AT&T’s flagship Chicago store on Michigan Avenue can not only demo this remarkable device, but do it Fantastic Beasts style. Take a peek at what the demo offers below:

As we posted in October, AT&T has also been running Crimes of Grindelwald promotions at stores nationwide, featuring giveaways, photo ops, and more. According to the Chicago flagship store’s Twitter profile, it seems like fans have already been relishing the chance to experience the wizarding world via Magic Leap!

Magic Leap announced earlier this year that it would demo the device at select AT&T stores in Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. While Chicago is the first location to debut the demo, visitors in other cities may soon have the chance to experience the magic of augmented reality!

Has anyone already given the demo a try? Let us know all about it!

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
