Social Media Roundup: From Sea to Shining Sea

It’s time again for Social Media Roundup! In this edition, we catch up with a number of wizarding world stars who are playing trivia, promoting projects and events, and taking summer vacations. Read on to see what your favorites are up to this summer!

Earlier this month, many wizarding world stars gathered at Universal Orlando for the opening of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. The event is now over, but earlier this week Pottermore released this video, in which Harry Potter stars tested their knowledge of magical creatures. James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) competed to see who could tell the names of magical beasts apart from those of real-world animals.

Meanwhile, across the country, Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) took a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood with her family.

In fact, many of our Harry Potter favorites have been stateside! Matt Lewis (Neville Longbottom) posted this dramatic shot of himself in Denver, Colorado.

Last week Cooper and I took a road trip to Utah and spent time exploring Zion National Park. A few of my favorite moments were canyoneering down our first mountain together, bike riding to each end of the park, swimming in water holes under a waterfall we found on one of our hikes, conquering my fear of heights by climbing to one of the highest peaks in Zion and ending each day with our nightly ritual of Scrabble. With no phone service for part of the week and our camp-outs under the stars, the days spent immersed in nature were humbling. Zion has only deepened my love for the outdoors and has been a powerful reminder that we should all appreciate the world we share together. To my adventure partner, @cooperbhefner I love you and I’m grateful for the special memories we get to share. It was truly a magical experience. I look forward to our next.

Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) promoted the Youth Climate Summit, which is taking place next month in Miami, Florida.

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) posted promotional images from the upcoming Little Women movie, in which she plays Meg March.
