Strangely similar to Jamie's story, I too learned about Harry Potter when my teacher read Sorcerer's Stone to my class. Soon after we finished reading it, I went to the local book store with a friend to pick up a new book to enjoy. To my huge surprise, RIGHT at the front of the book store was the "Newly Released" Chamber of Secrets. I purchased the book and began reading it with a friend during our millionth sleepover.

It is nice to reminisce about how I first heard of the book. Thanks, Mrs. Wilson!

A Little About Me: I first started working for MuggleNet in July 2005 after sending in some thoughts on the first ever episode of MuggleCast. I offered to do the transcripts for the show and things kind of went from there. A few episodes in, I was doing the weekly news round-up and am now a full-time host, helping plan every show. I have a whole team of transcribers and editors working with me to make sure the show's transcripts are in order. I will occassionally post news on the main site and am constantly trying to come up with different ideas and projects (Ministry of Magic Elections) now that the books are finished. When not working on MuggleNet, I am busy trying to find a "real" job.

A Little About Me: I was about 9 or 10 when I began reading the first Harry Potter book and was immediately hooked. Apart from getting me reading again, they also inspired me to join the online community of Harry Potter fans on MuggleNet, where, in 2006, I became part of the staff. Working for the site is an amazing experience and helps express my passion for the books.

When I’m not busy working on the site or studying I love spending time with my family and friends. Music is quite significant in my life; I enjoy playing the keyboard and listening to music from bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Taking Back Sunday, Lost Prophets, The All-American Rejects, Arctic Monkeys, Linkin Park and Yellowcard, to name just a few. My main job is working in the books section, finding all those little things Jo likes to hide and tease us with, and there are LOTS of them! About Me: Harry Potter has been a huge driving force in my life. When I was younger, reading the books grabbed me out of reality and into a new world where I could escape. While that still applies, the fandom has helped me gain so many friends and I am completely thankful for it. Being a part of this fandom has been one of the greatest things to happen to me. Even with the story finished and the last page turned, my heart still belongs to the boy wizard who I grew up with for so many years. Putting Harry Potter aside, I go to the University of Florida studying aerospace engineering with a pre-med track. I'm in love with the British culture, particularly comedy. I love Monty Python, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, Whose Line is it Anyway?, anything with Vic and Bob, Arrested Development, NCIS, House, Josh Groban, Pokemon, and many other things! I also miss PicklePack!

A Little About Me: I've been here since July 2005 when I was lucky enough to run into Catherine at Spellbound! 2005 while refereeing Quidditch for the day, and it is thanks to her that I'm here. I do a lot of web work, both professionally and for fun and currently am Webmaster of Marauders' Map, which is where my serious web work began. Aside from HP and MNet, I am very involved with music and theatre. I play quite a few instruments but piano, flute/piccolo, organ, and any keyboard instruments are my best. I am currently majoring in Music and Spanish (Secondary Ed), and minoring in Theatre Arts at Salem State College. (My theatre resume includes Crazy for You, Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, to name a few.) I currently music direct, play organ in churches, and teach piano privately for a living. (Catherine has told me I'd get along well with Chris Rankin :-P). 4 a.m. nights in a hotel room with K'lyssa, Catherine, Zach, Damon, and Tom at Spellbound will not be forgotten, nor will late night hotel roaming with the other staff at Lumos! It is because of these things that I can assure you I'll be here for quite some time!

In my spare time I like to read books such as Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy and anything written by Malorie Blackman. The last thing I read was Wicked by Gregory Maguire (I love the musical at the moment) and I'm pretty sure he's going to become one of my favourite authors once I've read more of his work. On my iPod there's a lot of Bloc Party, Panic at the Disco, Death Cab for Cutie, Imogen Heap and musicals like Rent and Wicked. Oh and MuggleCast, of course. I also play piano, clarinet and guitar. In school I have theories about everything and anything, and I tend to find myself trying to persuade my friends that Ron is not going to die in the 7th book ;-)

A Little About Me: Henry B. Adams said that a teacher has the power to affect eternity - because one can never tell where one's influence ends. I can, therefore, only guess at what Jo Rowling must feel like, having seen first hand the progression and expansion of the HP series and its fandom from my own perspective as a MuggleNet staffer since November, 2002. I've been here a long time on this site, and dearly love the Harry Potter books and my position here to bits. My main contributions to the site today lie in judging and producing each week's Crazy Caption Contest, and taking up my co-hosting role each week on MuggleNet's podcast, MuggleCast. The fruit of my labors has most definitely transpired in the vast locations where I have traveled on behalf of or in connection with the site, podcast, or my esteemed colleagues, which most recently was London, England where we attended the Book Seven release party in Waterstones bookstore, Piccadilly Circus.

Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, USA I completed my first year of tertiary study at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and have returned to the States hoping to continue my college education where I reside currently in Chicago, IL. No time difference has kept me from my work here on MuggleNet, and the most rewarding bits of it are the responses from fans who enjoy the content and discussions we work to provide. A Little About Me: I first got into the series when a friend took me to see the first Harry Potter movie with his family back in high school. I hadn't heard of it and I hadn't thought I'd fall in love with the series the way I did. Upon returning home I immediatly went to my trusty dial up internet and searched 'harry potter' on astalavista and found... MuggleNet. A Little About Me: I got involved with Harry Potter when my brand new, and now best friend, forced me to watch Sorcerer’s Stone. I immediately fell in love with the characters, and simply had to read the books. Harry renewed a love for reading that I had long since lost.
